Healthy sustained weight loss takes time and effort. Don’t make the mistake of believing that all you have to do is pop a few diet pills everyday and the fat will just melt off. While many claim that has been the case for them, the vast majority of dieters need more help than diet pills to achieve their weight loss goals.
Keep in mind that the only thing that diet pills do is suppress appetite. They don't improve a bad diet nor will it address overeating problems. If you have a bad diet and tend to overeat even when you are not hungry, diet pills will do absolutely nothing for you. If this describes you, you’ll be better off tackling those issues first before turning to diet pills.
Diet pills will not build muscle and it will not burn fat. Your muscles are fat burning machines. They burn fat all day long - even when you are resting. The more you have the more fat you’ll burn.
Your metabolism also plays a key role in burning fat to achieve sustained weight loss. The only way to build muscle and to get your metabolism cranking is to exercise!
Despite what body-building and weight loss ads say, fat cannot become muscle and muscle cannot become fat. They are two entirely different types of tissue.
Fat has many purposes: it insulates, cushions and is used for estrogen production. It's also an emergency supply of energy.
Fat is found in several places in your body. Generally, fat is found underneath your skin. There's also some on top of each kidney. Other locations depend on whether your a man or a woman:
Body fat is divided into two categories:
* Essential fat
* Storage fat
Essential fat is necessary for normal and healthy functions. It's stored in your organs, bone marrow, central nervous system and muscles. Essential fat for men is approximately 3 percent of your body weight. Essential fat for women is about 12 percent. The higher percentage is due to the gender specific fat found in breasts, pelvis, hips and thighs, which is critical for normal reproductive functions.
Weight loss is not to improve your self-esteem, but to reduce your risk from diabetes and heart disease. Dieting alone will not reduce your risk. There are lots of diet programs that sell you special foods or reduce your carbohydrate intake , diet shakes and all sorts of other products. Although these products can achieve weight loss, nothing beats healthy eating and exercise.
There are also different types of surgery used for weight loss and in some cases they are the only alternative.
All surgery is high risk! Surgery has not addressed the real problem of eating right and exercise to maintain that weight loss.
According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, 65.2 percent of the U. S. population is considered to be "overweight" or "obese".
Abdominal fat is associated with symptoms that increase risks of heart disease and diabetes. This is diagnosed when someone has at least three of the following:
* abdominal obesity
* High "bad" cholesterol
* Low "good" cholesterol
* High blood pressure
* Increased levels of sugar in the blood
Dieting alone doesn't protect you from heart disease and diabetes, the addition of exercise and reducing calories will be more beneficial to good health.
* An adult man tends to carry body fat in the chest, abdomen and buttocks.
* An adult woman tends to carry fat in her breasts, hips, waist and buttocks.
The different fat locations comes from the sex hormones estrogen and testosterone.
Block the craving to achieve weight loss
There are some proven inhibitors that help block the craving for food, of which we are going to address two of them. First is hydoxycitic acid (HCA) and the second is hoodia gordoni.
These are two different natural appetite suppression ingredents that help in weight loss in different ways.
Super CitriMax® is the patent pending form hydroxycitric acid (HCA) which comes from the extract of the fruit and rind of the Asian fruit called Garcinia cambogia.
The second is Hoodia gordonii and it's an appetite suppressant. It's a cactus-like plant that grows primarily in the semi-deserts of South Africa, Botswana, Namibia, and Angola.
HCA is a fat burner
HCA has been shown in clinical trials to decrease body weight by reducing appetite, inhibiting fat synthesis, and increasing fat metabolism, without artificial stimulation of the central nervous system.
The HCA in Super CitriMax® is bound to calcium and potassium, which maximizes its solubility, thereby, increasing its bioavailability.
Research has shown that HCA potency, bioavailability, timing of ingestion, and dosage are the essential requirements for optimal results. In addition, the safety of Super CitriMax® has been confirmed in recently published studies.
HCA has been found to produce multiple physiological effects. One of these effects is appetite suppression.
Recent clinical studies show that Super CitriMax® increases levels of serotonin (5-HT) by blocking its re-uptake in the brain.
This neurotransmitter has been found to play a vital role in a wide range of behavioral functions in the body, including mood, sleep and appetite control.
Studies show that serotonin levels are closely related to eating behavior and body weight. There is a significant correlation between increased plasma levels of serotonin and decreased food intake, reduced weight gain and increased energy expenditure.
In addition to its effect on appetite, increased serotonin levels may also play a beneficial role in helping overweight people face some of the related emotional issues, including binge-eating and depression.
HCA also inhibits the production of fatty acids by inhibiting the biochemical action of an intra cellular enzyme called ATP citrate lyase. ATP citrate lyase controls the biosynthesis of cellular Acetyl CoA (a carbohydrate-derived building block for fatty acids). Acetyl CoA is originally synthesized in the cellular mitochondria, but since the mitochondrial membrane is impermeable to Acetyl CoA, it is converted into hydroxycitrate, pumped across the mitochondrial membrane then reconverted from hydroxycitrate into Acetyl CoA and Oxaloacetate via ATP citrate lyase. However, in the presence of adequate HCA, ATP citrate lyase is deactivated, thereby blocking the synthesis of fatty acids from carbohydrates and their subsequent storage in the liver.
This also prompts biochemical changes in the liver that promote fat burning. By switching this enzyme off, HCA effectively blocks the conversion of starch and sugary foods into fat, and consequently, HCA is known as a lipogenesis (lipo — fat, genesis — creation) inhibitor. In other words, with Super CitriMax®, fatty acid synthesis is switched off.
Super CitriMax® has also been found to help maintain existing normal cholesterol levels.
There are many weight management products on the market that use HCA as the active ingredient. However, most of them do not use Super CitriMax®. This patent pending form of HCA is bound to the minerals calcium and potassium. Consequently, the HCA is virtually 100% soluble, and therefore more bioavailable than regular calcium-based HCA ingredients. Super CitriMax® also contains 20% more HCA than ordinary HCA products. In its new formulation, Super CitriMax® has been shown to be significantly more effective as a weight management aid than previous formulations of HCA.
Hoodia gordonii is the appetite suppressant
A British company named Phytopharm, isolated what they believed to be an active ingredient in hoodia gordonii, a steroidal glycoside, which they named p57. After obtaining a patent in 1995, they licensed p57 to Phytopharm. Phytopharm has spent more than $20 million on hoodia research.
After 60 Minutes correspondent Leslie Stahl and crew traveled to Africa to try hoodia.
They hired a local bushman to go with them into the desert and track down some hoodia. Stahl ate it, describing it as "cucumbery in texture, but not bad."
She reported that she lost the desire to eat or drink the entire day.
She also said she didn't experience any immediate side effects, such as indigestion or heart palpitations.
The advantage of using a
with Super CitriMax that slows down fat production* and hoodia gordonii as an appetite suppressant*, it works faster than any capsules or tablets. A packet before lunch and one before dinner will curb your appetite and get you started in shedding those unwanted pounds.
As always, you should seek your doctor's approval before engaging in any new regimen of physical activity.

Eating plans are based upon USDA recommendations, but keep in mind that the surest way to weight loss is to keep track of your caloric intake and then reduce it by approximately 500 calories per day.
