So why is the Acai berry healthy? Very simply, It's one of the highest antioxidant fruits in the world. It has twice the antioxidant levels of blueberries and 10 times more than grapes, and 10 to 30 times the Anthocyanins of red wine.

The Acai berry is very high in healthy Omega fats. Almost 1/3 of the berry is fat, with about 3/4 of the fat coming from healthy unsaturated fats like Omega-3, Omega 6 and Omega 9. It is also a healthy source of fiber. There are about 44 grams of fiber per 100 grams. The recommended daily dietary serving of fiber for an adult is 30 grams, and if this isn't enough, there is more!

You don't need to worry. Science has prevailed. Pulp from Brazil can be frozen and shipped to the US. A number of manufacturers are importing the dehydrated powder, which still maintains all the nutritional properties. What is the nutritional makeup of Acai berry?

If you were to compare the seismic charts of an earthquake to the ORAC charts of nutrition, the Acai would be off the charts. So what does this small 3/4" diameter berry have in the way of nutritional value packed inside itself?
